Elena Chatcuff, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Elena Chatcuff was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from UC Davis in 2009. During that time, she worked for the UCD Center of Equine Health as a Herd Health Manager. She assisted with various research projects including reproduction, epidemiology, and stem cell therapy. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, after finishing her clinical rotations at Texas A&M.
Dr. Chatcuff received her veterinary acupuncture training from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. In 2021, she completed her Electro-Acusope and Myopluse Therapy certification from Animal Therapy Systems.
Dr. Chatcuff has worked as a small animal general practitioner, mixed animal acupuncturist, and regenerative medicine specialist for the past 10 years. Before coming to work for Washington Square Vet Clinic she worked at the San Francisco SPCA and provided relief work for various hospitals in the Bay Area.
Dr. Chatcuff volunteers with CANTER, The Communication Alliance to Network Thoroughbred Ex-Racehourses. She lives in Petaluma with her rescue Chihuahua-mix Teto and her ex-racehouse Haku. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, surfing, horseback riding, and all the natural beauty the North Bay has to offer.
